As an integrative therapist I draw on different ideas so the therapy varies to some extent depending on the needs of each person. I have a broad and varied training background and know that all contemporary approaches recognise the centrality of relationship. My training, supervision and therapy have all been grounded in approaches that use the therapeutic relationship, including: Relational Psychoanalytic Therapy, Dialogical therapy, and more recently Interpersonal Psychotherapy. I have a keen interest in Existential Psychotherapy, and I’ve found this philosophical approach especially helpful to many clients. To my mind, an integration of ideas tends to be more helpful rather than strict adherence to just one model – but it’s what works best for you!
