Dr. Peter Meades D.Psych (Prof.)

Sometimes we need help to face certain problems, challenges or difficulties in life.

Psychotherapy is a “talking therapy” that makes use of the therapeutic relationship to explore, support, challenge, and increase awareness of what’s going on for us, and our relationships with others – ¬†ultimately to live more satisfying lives, more fully in the present.

I have a specialist training in working with Depression (IPT), which is particularly common and growing problem in our communities.

Although I work with a range of different people, I do have a particular interest in helping lesbian and gay people, having done my doctoral research on the experiences of religion and sexual-orientation.
